How much does event photo sharing cost?

The honest answer: it depends far more on the pricing *model* than on your event. Two apps can look similarly priced until one quietly charges by the guest and the other doesn’t. Here’s how event photo-sharing is usually priced, and how to make sure you don’t overpay.

The three pricing models

• One flat price per event — you pay once, and unlimited guests and photos are included. Easiest to predict, and best value for anything but a tiny gathering.
• Per guest — a low headline price that multiplies with your guest list. A 150-person wedding can get expensive fast.
• Subscription — a monthly fee that makes sense for a business running lots of events, but is overkill (and easy to forget to cancel) for a one-off.

What should be included

A fair event photo-sharing price should cover, at minimum:

• Unlimited guests and photos, at full resolution.
• A QR code and link with no app for guests to download.
• A private gallery that stays online for a decent window (look for a year or more, not a few weeks).
• Downloading everything at once when you’re done.

Watch for the extras

Add-ons are fine when they’re optional and clearly priced — a longer gallery, extra occasions, a custom web address, printed photo books. What to avoid is the opposite: a cheap entry price that only becomes usable once you’ve paid for the things you assumed were included (more storage, watermark removal, actually downloading your photos).
